New Zealand

I started doing a monthly collaboration with Accent Magazine, a publication that only the business class passengers of Aeromexico have access to read. This means that it is very unlikely that I will ever see these illustrations printed.

The Bicycle Diaries

This is an image I did for Life & Style on a short story called The Two Wheels of Life, about two guys whose lives are intertwined due to the use of bicycles.

Iguana King

I was asked to illustrate a deck of playing cards that will be used as a promotional piece for Vieques Travel, a travel agency specialized in arranging trips to Vieques, Puerto Rico.

The Great Gatsby

Life & Style Mexico gave me a very cool assignment for an article on Scott Fitzgerald and the new Great Gatsby movie. These are some of the images that appeared in the magazine:

Reading in the Bathroom

This is an editorial piece I did for Chilango Magazine in Mexico City about the pleasure of reading in the bathroom.

Poor Little Marco

For the past month I've been working on a children's book project. The story I'm illustrating is called "In search of Mother" (the title in spanish is: Marco, de los Apeninos a los Andes by Edmundo de Amicis) and tells the heart-breaking adventures of little Marco, who crosses the ocean to find his missing mother.

This is a little map of my grandparent's neighborhood in Mexico City, where I spent most of my childhood.

Azul Intangible

I had the honor to illustrate and design the poster and postcard for "Azul Intangible", a documentary film by Eréndira Acosta about the charms of the northwest Mexican seas. You can see the trailer here.
